The Path to Transformation...
I deal with patients on a daily basis. From experience I'll tell you the most frustrating thing is when you can see that someone really wants to make a change in their life, knows how, but still can't seem to break free. This entrapment I believe is one of the primary reasons why depression is so rampant in today's society. I want to cover the big reasons why this happens.
The first reason is misinformation. A little irony on this note, because I KNOW I've written a good newsletter when at least one person emails me about betraying the public, in which I'm usually referenced to a "credible" source run by either a drug company or the government. The fact is most of the information out there is meant to SELL. Fabricated science, confusion, and intellectual babble are the tools used to "whoo" you into submission. With that in mind you need to be very critical of all the "right steps" you are taking as to their true cost/benefit.
The other reason is motivation, or lack thereof. Anthony Robbins, the famed motivator and coach teaches that we only do things for two reasons, the gaining of pleasure or the avoidance of pain. It's obvious that the greatest shackles in life are those that bring pleasure. It's usually not until we hit the pain of consequence that we respond with change. To account for this you must place real relevance on the consequences of each decision you make, and realize the power of strengthening decisions to move in the right direction.
With a little discipline and work you have the power to transform your mind and body into anything you want them to be.
