Technology = $Savings$

Though this is off subject with health, I wanted to drop a line about saving some money. Only read on if you pay for both high speed internet (cable, dsl) and a land line phone.

The phone industries have already been hit hard by cell phones, but the final shot has come with the new revolution in Voice Over Internet Protocol, or VOIP. With services like Vonage, you can run your phone lines through your internet connection cutting your phone bill to $15-$25 with unlimited calling and long distance. What's the difference? Virtually none. The quality is the same and you can even alter the quality of calls by logging on to your account. Your phones even run through the same lines you have installed throughout your house, you just need to disconnect the outside line and plug in the router.

So if you are paying over $25 for your local and long distance plus high speed internet, you no longer have to!

Patient Survival Guide to Modern Healthcare

Unfortunately, we have to be more careful than ever with our Healthcare today. It seems the Doctor's Oath of "First Do No Harm" has been lost in the shuffle in the feeding frenzy of nonchalant patients. Here are a few tips to help get you through to the real motive of a Doctor.
1. Does the Doctor take the time to explain to you what is wrong?
2. If the Doctor makes a comment like; "It can't heal on it's own" or "There are NO other options", you may question their willingness for you to get a second opinion.
3. If the Doctor gets irrate with you for asking a question, you should be nervous!
4. Ask the Doctor what his practice philosophy is.
5. Always get a second opinion and make it known that it's a second opinion before going under the knife.
6. Check the Doctor's history if need be.
7. Follow the order; non-invasive treatments, then drugs, then surgery! It should be no other way.

The key is, check and ask, check and ask! You only get one body and if you let someone else mess it up you are out of luck. Not only can you most likely not get back to normal, but they are trying every day to change tort reform so that you CAN NOT sue. They make it sound good but it's simply an attempt to cover more mistakes. The fact is the #1 killer in America today is NOT Heart Disease or Cancer, it's the Medical System and that's based only on what is reported. As long as you follow the right steps you should be OK.

G.E.R.D. - Another Fine Example of Modern Medicine

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, or Heartburn, effects thousands of Americans. The "traditional" (or last 50 years treatment) has been to medicate in an attempt to decrease acid content of the stomach to relieve again....the Symptoms. This in most cases, does the exact opposite of treating to solve and keeps you as a happy client for those fine drug companies.
Here's a few tips for treating Heartburn.
1. If you Smoke, STOP! Every smoker has G.E.R.D. to some degree.
2. Do not drink alcohol, coffee, or soda as these agitate the symptoms.
3. Do not lie down for three hours after meals to let gravity and digestion keep it down.
4. Eat smaller meals and CHEW completely to aid in early digestion.
5. Do not mix Proteins with Starches (Meat & Potatoes for you "Real Americans")
6. Avoid ALL Dairy and Sugars as you should anyways (www.notmilk.com)
7. Use Virgin Coconut Oil daily
8. Eat alkalinizing foods (http://www.godsdirectcontact.com/vegetarian/alkalineoracid.html)
9. Use body cleansing techniques like liver cleanse and exercise to evacuate toxins
10. Balance your digestive tract using Juice Plus, ProOmega, and Primal Defense Probiotics

Follow these steps and you will be on your way to eliminating not just the Symptoms but the problem itself!

Are You "Healthy"!

"Healthy". Like many words; moral, vacation, good, normal...it has lost a lot of it's meaning to the public. So what does Healthy mean? Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (in other words symptoms). So why is our entire medical system based around treating symptoms? Follow me here because it's pretty "complex":

Make Drug--->Treat Symptom--->Symptom comes back--->Need more Drugs = $$$$$$$$$$$

OK, so maybe it's not that complicated. But it is true, think about it. If your trying to sell a product do you want your customers to keep using it, or not need it anymore? So I encourage you to seek Health in it's true form. Stop listening to junk science and greedy Doctors. Health is attainable and most of all it's EASY. Keep listening and I will show you how!
